Human Race - One Communty, One Dream

The Human Race is Sonoma County's Largest community fundraiser. It provides an opportunity for all nonprofit organizations in Sonoma County to raise money for their programs. Walkers and runners (and wheelchair rollers) solicit pledges from friends and supporters for contributions to

a favorite participating nonprofit organization. Race day consists of a 3K and 10K run and walk (and roll), a pancake breakfast and lots of celebration, contests, prizes, and music. These presentations, by Center instructors and community experts, will inform and inspire you toward health and well-being. ~2008 Special Events~

Skate-A-Thon for Health

Sunday, April 13th 2008

5:00pm - 6:30pm

Cal Skate - 6100 Commerce Blvd., Rohnert Park

All proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit the Center for Well-Being's childhood obesity prevention programs and off-set the cost of the 18% client base who need free or sliding scale health services.

How to join our event:

Create a team of 4 or more skaters and set a team goal for total number of laps. Sponsors can pledge any dollar amount in support of your team reaching their lap-a-thon goal. Each lap-a-thon is 15 minutes in length and will be held twice during the event. Combine your total laps from both 15 minute races to calculate your final team score. Average skaters can skate 40 laps in 30 minutes. Costumes and team themes encouraged!
